SOS Children’s Villages Isolo Programme is located In Isolo, Lagos State, which is regarded as the country's commercial hub in the south-western part of Nigeria. The state was once the capital of Nigeria and still plays the most critical role in commerce and trade in the country.  SOS Children’s Villages Lagos (Isolo) Programme is the first SOS CV established in Nigeria. In early 1973, its building work was completed. The facilities on the ground then were 10 family houses, a Kindergarten, a Primary School, a vocational training centre and a Clinic.

In 2004, SOS Social Centre Ejigbo was established as part of the SOS Children’s Villages Lagos Programme to empower women towards preventing child abandonment. This culminated in the Family Strengthening Programme in 2006. Until 2017, the centre operated a Vocational Training and a clinic that provided medical services to over a thousand children and adults. However, the facility is now the ICT training Hub for programme participants and the community. Over a hundred persons have been trained or undergoing a training programme on ICT at the hub.

The Family Strengthening has so far supported over five thousand children and youths from over a thousand households. Similarly, Alternative Care from its inception till date has supported over three hundred children and youths of whom more than two-thirds have attained independent living or reintegrated into their families of origin.

The Programme Location in collaboration with Child Protection Network Lagos has helped us to reach up to forty-five thousand (45,000) children over the years.

The Lagos location was the first to launch a Guideline for Alternative Care for Children and this was done in collaboration with the Lagos government in 2022.
